Description
We are seeking a Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney. This role will specialize in managing and facilitating legal matters related to personal injury cases before they reach the litigation phase. The primary focus of this role is to negotiate settlements, coordinate with insurance companies, and prepare cases for potential litigation if a settlement cannot be reached.
Responsibilities:
Meet with clients to discuss their personal injury claims.
Gather and analyze relevant information, including medical records, accident reports, and witness statements, to assess the strength of the case.
Determine liability and identify potential parties responsible for the injuries.
Communicate and negotiate with insurance companies, opposing attorneys, and other involved parties to reach fair settlements for clients.
Evaluate settlement offers and advise clients on the best course of action.
Prepare and draft demand letters outlining the details of the client’s injuries, liability, and damages.
Calculate damages accurately, considering medical costs, future treatment, lost wages, and other relevant factors.
Maintain accurate and organized case records, documentation, and correspondence.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Florida.
Strong understanding of personal injury laws, regulations, and procedures.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Proficient in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office suite.
Empathetic and client-focused approach to handling cases.
Experience in pre-litigation personal injury work is preferred but not always required.
Bi-lingual/Spanish is preferred.
